About Me

My name is Jennifer H Perez. I attended the University of North Florida, majoring in Communications before obtaining my Interior Design degree at Florida Community College of Jacksonville.

I spent my first few years as a designer working for Arthur Rutenberg Homes, Inc. where I was able to fully incompass the meaning of being a designer. I specified clients homes from the ground up including all of their hard and soft finishes.

In January of 2008, I moved my practice over to R. Ward Lariscy, Inc where I am currently practicing residential design.

I am an active member of ASID, through which I have helped plan the annual Student day event that took place at DCOTA in Dania, Fl and am currently heading up the board for the Step Workshop, which helps prepare designer for their state licensing exam.

I also currently hold a seat on the Interior Design Advisory Board for FSCJ and The Art Institute of Jacksonville.

People's Choice Award winner named for Designer Showhouse

Jennifer Perez, an interior design associate with R. Ward Lariscy Inc., was honored at the Symphony Guild's annual luncheon with the prestigious People's Choice Award for her work in this year's Symphony Designer Showhouse. Perez's work in the traditionally themed master bedroom was a hit with Showhouse viewers. "The master bedroom in the traditional condo has so many regal characteristics to it," said Eleanor Maxwell, Showhouse treasurer. "The hints of gold used throughout the room really caught my eye; it gave the mostly recycled furniture some pizazz." Although the room is considered traditional, Perez imagined she was designing the space for a couple of young New York city hipsters. "The room is designed for a fictional young couple who have recently moved to Jacksonville from NYC," Perez said. "I wanted the room to appeal to their Fifth Avenue style while acknowledging their coastal surroundings."
